Membership
Ami Desai is the founder and principal attorney of Desai Law Firm, concentrating in the areas of employment, business, and immigration law. She is an administrative law judge for the Texas Workforce Commission Appeals Department. She is also the expert elder law attorney for Working Caregiver. She earned her law degree from the University of Texas School of Law in 2003 and her triple undergraduate degree in English, Philosophy and Psychology from the University of Texas at Austin in 2000. Ami is a member of the Austin Asian Bar Association, South Asian Professionals of Austin, and she leads the South Asian Lawyers of Austin network.
In addition, Ami has been an active member and resident of the Austin community for over 25 years. She is a member of the Leadership Austin Class of 2008. She is a Director on the Boards of the Dispute Resolution Center of Austin, Austin Asian American Chamber of Commerce, and Network of Asian American Organizations. She is a Trustee and Past President of the India Community Center of Austin. Ami has been an Austin resident for over 25 years and is proud to call Austin her home.
