About IDA
The Infocomm Development Authority of Singapore (IDA) is committed to growing Singapore into a dynamic global infocomm hub. IDA uses an integrated approach to developing infocommunications in Singapore. This involves nurturing a competitive telecoms market as well as a conducive business environment with programmes and schemes for both local and international companies.
The IDA Silicon Valley office was started in April 2001 and it serves as a resource for US companies wishing to explore business and partnership opportunities in Singapore. It provides business development information and facilitates networking and contacts with Singapore companies.

Eve Richter
Eve Richter is the Emerging Technologies Coordinator in the Economic Development Division at the City of Austin. In that capacity she helps businesses, startups, entrepreneurs and individuals in the tech (and other) sectors to grow and be successful in the Austin community. She also works to attract businesses in targeted industries to Austin. She refers to her work as a combination of business consulting, matchmaking, and cheerleading. She has undergraduate and master’s degrees in business administration, government, and public affairs/public policy, studying at both California State University Sacramento and UT Austin.
She was raised in New England and California, and will admit to being born in New York if pushed. Despite being a Yankee and a Californian, she loves her adopted home in Austin, and is excited that her work helps to create jobs and investment in such a wonderful and creative community.
Steven Tong
Steven Tong has over 10 years of experience working with technology companies in Singapore and the United States. He is currently Center Director at IDA’s Silicon Valley office and had spent his past 3 years helping US startups expand their Asian operations in Singapore. He also advises Singapore companies expanding to the US or seeking investment/partnership opportunities. Prior to this, Steven covered the education sector in Singapore and worked with companies to develop products that improve teaching and learning in K-12 schools. Steven was also part of the team that developed the iN2015 Education and Learning masterplan for Singapore. Steven received a Bsc (hons) in Computing & Information Systems from the University of London and an M.B.A. from University of Leeds.
